Inspired by the classic shapes of knitted jackets that have been around since the 1940s, this sweater is crafted using the softest cotton from India. The design also incorporates buttons made of hemp, adding a sustainable touch. We aimed to reinforce the vintage feel of the garment, paying careful attention to the shape of the collar and the addition of patch pockets on the front. Like all of our knitwear, the Evening Cardigan features rolled-up hems for added style.
The cardigan has a boxy unisex shape and features raglan sleeves. Crafted using the Fully Fashioned method, each panel is knitted into shape rather than cut, and then linked together on a linking machine. This technique creates soft and well-finished seams inside the garment and helps minimise waste during the manufacturing process.
